Our only KPI is societal impact. With no commercial agenda, we focus 100% of our resources on teaching healthier behaviors to reduce the $1 trillion drain caused by self-harm. By using marketing to educate rather than sell, we nudge individuals toward lasting well-being and community health.

The Strategic Mission

The Issue: The $1 Trillion Drain

Self-harming habits in the USA claim over a million lives and cost $1 trillion annually. These behaviors are 100% preventable, yet they remain the primary drain on our economy and healthcare system.

The Solution: Teaching Through Marketing

As a "product-free" 501(c)(3) agency, Thought Shift uses the Got Bliss? campaign to teach healthier behaviors. We deploy high-level advertising strategies to trigger "thought shifts," educating and nudging people toward better physical, financial, and emotional habits.

Our Mission is to reduce these 100% preventable self-harms.

The Magnitude of Self-Harm

 The Magnitude of Self-Harm

We target the specific habits driving the $1.8 Trillion+ annual impact on our society:

  • Substance Misuse: Smoking ($600B), Alcohol ($249B), and Opioids ($277B) account for over $1.1 Trillion in healthcare costs and lost productivity.
  • Physical Inactivity & Nutrition: Obesity ($425B), sedentary lifestyles ($117B), and excess sugar intake ($50B) drive the chronic diseases that cause 70% of American deaths.
  • Mental & Digital Health: Inadequate sleep ($411B) and excessive screen time ($151B) are leading drivers of depression, hypertension, and workplace accidents.
  • Lifestyle Risks: Gambling ($14B) and poor oral/preventative hygiene ($124B) create preventable financial and physical strain.

Our marketing can reach anyone, anywhere.

The Populations Most In Need That We Serve

Our messaging is tailored to scale across the most at-risk groups:

  • Students: Preventing high-stress coping habits before they become lifelong struggles.
  • Veterans: Building resilience and purpose to reduce isolation and mental health risks.
  • Underprivileged Communities: Providing accessible tools to break cycles of habit-driven harm.
  • Women: Counteracting predatory marketing with empowering narratives of health and self-care.

The Result: By shifting thoughts, we change behaviors. This reduces the burden on public systems and empowers individuals to achieve personal greatness.

The Bliss Strategy

Got Bliss? is our strategic series of daily "nudges" designed to teach the small, transformative changes needed for long-term well-being. By delivering consistent, uplifting reminders, we facilitate "thought shifts" that replace self-harming habits with healthier behaviors. This proactive education turns daily intentions into a life of personal greatness, one simple lesson at a time.
